National recognition of WSMA's communications efforts is a tribute to excellence and the work of the WSMA.

WSMA Reports Nationally Recognized

WSMA’s flagship publication, WSMA Reports, has received national recognition via the EXCEL Awards, presented by Association Media & Publishing Network. The EXCEL Awards are the largest and most prestigious program recognizing excellence and leadership in association media, publishing, marketing, and communication.

2023

For the fourth year in a row, the WSMA won several EXCEL Awards for its communications efforts. The EXCEL Awards program is a national competition that recognizes excellence and leadership in association media, publishing, marketing, and communication.

This year, the WSMA won three awards including:

  • SILVER: Best special report for the 2022 Legislative Report.
  • SILVER: Best direct mail/single piece for the 2022 Impact Report.
  • BRONE: Best editorial/opinion piece for "Bending the Curve," by Lucinda Grande, MD (WSMA Reports May/June 2022 issue).

We're proud to be included among the 211 awards presented across 74 categories, as the recognition highlights the WSMA's outstanding communications efforts at a national level. The Software & Information Industry Association announced the winners of the 43rd Annual AM&P Network EXCEL Awards at the 2023 AM&P Content & Marketing Summit in Washington D.C. on June 27, 2023.

2022

2023 Excel Award

In addition to 73 gold winners, the AM&P Network named 75 silver and 70 bronze winners. The WSMA was among the companies winning the most awards, along with American Speech Language Hearing Association, American Institute of Physics, American Society of Landscape Architects and GRAPHEK.

  • GOLD: Best direct mail/single piece for the 2021 Impact Report.
  • GOLD: Best magazine cover illustration for "Telehealth's Time has Come" by Jacob Stead (WSMA Reports Sept/Oct 2021 issue).
  • SILVER: Best magazine cover illustration for "Supporting Washington's Safety Net" by Pete Ryan (WSMA Reports May/June 2021 issue).
  • SILVER: Best pandemic response campaign for “Talk to Your Doctor About the COVID-19 Vaccine” vaccine confidence campaign with the Washington State Department of Health.
  • BRONZE: Best special report for the 2021 Legislative Report.
  • BRONZE: Best magazine editorial/opinion for "Be the Voice" by Judith Kimmelman, MD (WSMA Reports Jan/Feb 2021 issue).
