County Information

Some counties are unified with the WSMA, requiring joint membership in both the county medical society and the WSMA (or the Washington Osteopathic Medical Association, as applicable).

County bylaws vary from county to county and for physicians and physician assistants. Other dues rates may apply for limited, first year, and retired categories. To inquire, call the WSMA at 206.441.9762 or write wsma@wsma.org .

Members who wish to transfer their membership from one county society to another will be required to present written notice that their WSMA dues have been paid in full and that they are in good standing in the county society from which they are transferring. WSMA collects optional dues for several non-unified counties. County dues can be remitted with your WSMA payment for the following counties:

* Complimentary membership for physicians in their first year of practice.
** Reduced dues rate for physicians who practice 20 hours or less per week.
