Physicians view legislative and regulatory advocacy as an essential role for the WSMA. And the WSMA delivers.

Legislative & Regulatory

One of the strongest ways your WSMA represents the profession of medicine is with our legislative and regulatory advocacy, both at the state and federal levels.

Interim Advocacy Council Meeting Held August 16

Sean Graham and Alex Wehinger of WSMA's government affairs team hosted an Advocacy Council meeting on August 16 to review how the results of WSMA’s annual advocacy survey will inform our draft 2023 legislative agenda, as well as sharing notes from the campaign trail ahead of the midterm elections in November

WSMA Legislative Report

The WSMA publishes a legislative wrap-up report each year after the state legislative session adjourns. The report includes a summary of policy outcomes, a look a new laws impacting practice management, and during presidential and midterm election years, the WAMPAC Legislator Report Card. The report is mailed to all members.

Visit the WSMA Legislative Report page (members-only; sign-in required) for archived copies of the report.
