Support for Innovative Models of Primary Care Practices
The WSMA supports the growth and development of innovative models of
primary care delivery and payment, such as direct primary care, with the
potential to re-establish the direct relationship between patients and
their physician while providing affordable, accessible, quality care and

The WSMA supports policies that enable the growth and development of
physician-led innovative primary care practice models, such as direct
primary care, as part of the overall solution to the health care system

independence for primary care practices from the third-party payer system,
such as approaching the Washington State Office of the Insurance
Commissioner about the regulatory hurdles for direct primary care
