Availability
The WSMA supports appropriation of funds by the state legislature to enable the State Health Department 1) to purchase sufficient doses of the routinely recommended childhood vaccines to allow immunization of all children in Washington State according to the recommendations of the Committee on Immunization Practices Advisory Committee of the Public Health Service, and 2) to enable the State Health Department to distribute such vaccines to physicians' offices and to local health departments for administration to children. The WSMA supports coordinated efforts with the Department of Health in developing means of assuring a closer approach to universal up-to-date immunization of all children attending day care facilities in this state. (Res 49, A-90) (Reaffirmed A-17)
