Withdrawal of Life Support
The WSMA agrees that for humane reasons, with informed consent, a
physician may cease treatment, including artificial nutrition and/or
hydration, when such treatment is no longer desired by a patient, even if
doing so would likely result in a patient’s death. (JC 2.14.87)
