Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis to Reduce HIV Infection

The WSMA supports policy to increase the prescription of PrEP fr individuals at elevated risk for HIV infection as part of a comprehensive testing, treatment, and prevention approach to reduce HIV transmission. (C-9, A-20)

The WSMA supports policy that provides PrEP for free or at reduced cost for uninsured individuals at increased risk for HIV. (C-9, A-20)

The WSMA supports full coverage of PrEP by commercial and public insurance options as a preventative treatment. (C-9, A-20)
