Building Relationships of Trust
Establishing trust with patients is critical when making health care plans and decisions. But how can physicians build trust with patients when systemic racism and implicit bias are pervasive barriers? The WSMA Foundation identified the need to mitigate the harm of racism perpetuated throughout medicine and set a goal to help physicians and PAs build authentic relationships of trust with diverse communities through mentorship, education, and community support programs. In this webinar, which is only available to WSMA members, participants hear several perspectives on how to establish trust with patients from diverse communities and come away with tools to start using right away in practice using toolkits provided.
