Health Equity in Medicine Podcast with Edwin Lindo, JD

Coming soon! Free member benefit meets state requirement for health equity CME. Available only on the WSMA website.

Edwin Lindo, JD

The WSMA has collaborated with Edwin Lindo, JD, to produce engaging health equity education that fulfills the Washington state requirement of two hours in health equity continuing education at least once every four years.

In this four-part audio miniseries, Lindo covers the history of racism in medicine and the impacts of the medical profession on health equity. He shares how some of your colleagues have tackled these thorny issues, structurally and individually, and gives you ideas on how to incorporate equity principles into practice.

Each episode is about 30 minutes each, with the entire four-part program totaling two hours (meeting the state requirement).

Episode 1: Definitions and Background
Episode 2: Impact of Medical Profession on Health Equity
Episode 3: Individual Interventions with Pam LaBorde, MD
Episode 4: Structural Interventions with Mabel Bodell, MD, and Bindu Nayak, MD

The Health Equity in Medicine Miniseries with Edwin Lindo, JD, will be available as a member benefit in March. Nonmember pricing is available. The podcast is only available on the WSMA website and not available on podcast platforms. Stay tuned for an announcement on availability.
