Why serve on WSMA’s Board: I wanted to learn from WSMA and contribute my voice to how medicine is practiced in Washington state.

Why should physicians lead: Physicians are a huge connection to their communities. We interact with the entirety of the community: all ages, all socioeconomic backgrounds, all life experiences. We have an understanding of what our communities need and how health has an impact. It is important that we elevate the voices of our patients.

How do you help further WSMA’s vision to make Washington state the best place to practice medicine and receive care: I mostly try to listen and find the key moments where my voice would be valuable. I always try to keep an eye on the future and how our decisions will impact that future.
