The WSMA endorse universal screening for syphilis in pregnant persons
during 1st trimester, 3rd trimester, and at time of presentation for

The WSMA support legislation to modify state law requiring submission of
test specimens for RPR confirmation at the state level, enabling
commercial labs to conduct confirmatory testing and share results with
public health. (B-3, A-24)
The WSMA support public health jurisdictions having appropriate access to
health system electronic health records to ease result integration, reduce
burden on physician reporting, and expedite efficient treatment of
patients and their partners. (B-3, A-24)
