Joint Opioid Safe Practices Task Force

The WSMA has convened and is leading a task force to address prescription drug opioid abuse, addiction and overdose in Washington state. Joined by our partners at the Washington State Hospital Association, the task force will begin working on solutions to reverse a crisis facing our state and nation, with an eye toward ways physicians and hospitals can play a more active role in tackling this issue (read the press release, issued July 6).
