North Idaho Family Physicians LLC (NIFP) is seeking a full-time executive director to oversee and direct the day-to-day functions, efficient operations and personnel of NIFP and affiliations (Kootenai Urgent Care, Kootenai Occupational Medicine, Lakewood Physical Therapy, Medical Practice Management Services). This position is based in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Essential job duties:

  • Works with the president on developing and implementing the company’s mission, vision, values and strategic plans.
  • Develops and updates organizational design for maximum productivity and control of quality and costs.
  • Ensures the financial viability of the company by maintaining control systems to control finances and staffing.
  • Ensures Company compliance with all laws, regulations and legal requirements governing the healthcare community.
  • Continually monitors day-to-day functions and operations of NIFP and affiliations and initiates appropriate changes. Consult with department directors on business operations, implementation of strategic plans and promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Represents the company in its relationships with other health organizations, government agencies and third-party payers.
  • Serves as liaison and channel of communication between the Board of Directors and its committees.

Supervisory responsibilities:

  • Chief financial officer
  • Department directors • Administration

Knowledges, skills and abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of the health care environment.
  • Knowledge of finance, marketing, human resources and public relations.
  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve the company’s mission.
  • Ability to identify trends and motivate workforce toward changes needed to remain competitive.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and change.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading and mentoring a team to achieve results; proven ability to collaboratively work within high performance teams.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with staff, government officials, and the public.

Education and experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Master’s in Business Administration(MBA)/Master’s in Health Administration (MHA) preferred.
  • Five or more years of executive-level leadership experience working with physicians in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience to include strategic planning, program development, business planning, financial accountability and physicians’ relations.
