2026 WSMA Annual Meeting: Vinay Gupta, MD, to Lead Conversation on Health Care Change

For this year’s House of Delegates meeting, we’re pleased to welcome Vinay Gupta, MD, for his presentation “Leading Through Change: What Physicians Need to Thrive in the Future of Healthcare.” Dr. Gupta is a practicing pulmonologist, public health expert, and health care innovator. Formerly chief medical officer at Amazon, Dr. Gupta is known to many as the medical analyst for NBC News and MS NOW and today is a managing director of health innovation at Manatt, Phelps and Phillips, LLP.

Come early on Saturday before Dr. Gupta’s keynote to network with your peers and colleagues from across the state and see firsthand how policy is made at the WSMA. Other highlights of the event include:

• The WAMPAC Luncheon – This popular Saturday luncheon features key health care policymakers as our special invited guests. Tickets may be purchased online when registering for the meeting. The luncheon is free for WAMPAC Diamond Club members; you can join the Diamond Club online.
• Presidential Inauguration and Foundation Gala Dinner – On Saturday evening, help inaugurate our new president and recognize two important milestones in medicine: the enormous contribution to the AMA delegation from departing chair Rod Trytko, MD, and the announcement of the WSMA Foundation’s first Future Physician Scholarship recipient. Tickets may be purchased online when registering for the meeting.
• SCMS presents Medicine 2026 CME – The day before the Annual Meeting, on Friday, Sept. 25, the Spokane County Medical Society will present Medicine 2026 CME, also at The Historic Davenport. Separate registration is required.
