Physician and Practitioner Wellness
Helping physicians and practitioners manage burnout and reconnect with the joy of practicing medicine.
To combat an epidemic of physician burnout, the WSMA has embraced the “Quadruple Aim,” which builds on the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Triple Aim of improving care quality, improving population health, and lowering costs by adding a fourth component: improving the quality of life and work of health care clinicians.
Thanks to generous funding from the Physician’s Foundation, the WSMA Foundation is reintroducing the WSMA’s Healthy Doctors, Healthier Patients initiative, now with a sole focus on physician and clinician wellness, with programs, resources, and innovative approaches to help physicians and practitioners manage burnout and stress in their practices and reconnect with the joy of practicing medicine.
