H.R. 1 Implementation with HCA, WSMA, & WSHLA
As implementation of H.R. 1 moves forward, physician practices and health care organizations across Washington will play a critical role in helping patients navigate upcoming changes to Apple Health coverage, eligibility, and care delivery.
To support that work, the WSMA and the Washington State Healthcare Leaders Association are partnering with the Washington State Health Care Authority for a members-only webinar focused on implementation timelines, operational impacts, and opportunities for stakeholder feedback.
This webinar is designed specifically for physicians, practice leaders, and health care administrators who are on the front lines of patient care and implementation.

About the Presenters
Melissa Rivera serves as the outreach, training and education manager for the Eligibility Policy Innovation and Community Support team within the Health Care Authority. She has served as a public service employee with both the Department of Social and Health Services and the Health Care Authority ensuring equitable access to health care, reducing barriers to coverage, and fostering community engagement through education, outreach, and partnership.
Ariel Pyrtek serves as senior policy analyst for eligibility policy innovation and community support and has worked for the Health Care Authority for over ten years. Within her role, Ariel supports the agency’s work in the development and implementation of Medicaid and CHIP eligibility policy changes from the state and federal levels.
