We have a unique practice that consists of 28 general pediatricians, two advance registered nurse practitioners, as well as pediatric sub-specialists in allergy/immunology, hematology/oncology, and pulmonology. We have four office locations, with two in Tacoma, Federal Way, and Gig Harbor. </p> <p> Our practice philosophy is one that prioritizes our patients, high quality of care, and community involvement. We accept all patients regardless of their socioeconomic status/insurance. </p> <p> We round on newborns at Tacoma General Hospital and St. Francis Hospital. We have Saturday and Sunday hours to serve our patient needs. Call is approximately 1:17 on weekdays and 1-2 weekend days per month. </p> <p> Pediatrics Northwest is busy and growing, recent new hires have filled their schedules in just months. 20200108_continuing_professional_development_program_manager20200108 Continuing Professional Development Program ManagerCareer CenterShared_Content/Careers_Center/20200108_continuing_professional_development_program_manager<div class="col-md-12"> <h5>January 8, 2020</h5> <h2>Continuing Professional Development Program Manager</h2> <p> The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program Manager is responsible for developing and managing the Washington State Medical Association's (WSMA's) quality improvement and CPD programs. The CPD Program Manager will effectively design and manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines and compressed schedules, while thriving in a continually changing environment. When applicable, the Program Manager must maintain ACCME accreditation standards to support the CME mission statement and assure accreditation documentation is of high quality and in compliance with all standards, guidelines, and policies. The Program Manager will represent WSMA to a wide range of organizations and customers and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the WSMA CPD department by ensuring that all work is performed efficiently and professionally. </p> <p> <strong>Specific Responsibilities</strong>: Specific responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: </p> <ol> <li>Partner with physician leaders to develop quality improvement programs to improve patient safety and quality in medical groups, hospitals, and health systems across Washington state.</li> <li>Generate quarterly prescriber level reports using a complex data set in partnership with other professional associations and state agencies. Field questions and provide expert-level responses about the reports.</li> <li>Partner with physician leaders to develop training, mentoring, and networking opportunities.</li> <li>Demonstrate high standards in implementing programs and managing relationships and services. Develop and track detailed program budgets.</li> <li>Design marketing strategy for programs in conjunction with marketing staff and physician leaders, using a combination of print materials, e-mail marketing, website, word of mouth and direct correspondence to promote programs.</li> <li>Promote the use of best-practice adult learning principles. Assist with identifying areas for improvement after each activity, compiling evaluations and summaries, and ensuring that offerings meet physicians' needs.</li> <li>Directly manage all on-site logistics for each in-person activity (requires up to 10% in-state travel and flexible schedule).</li> <li>Generate <em>AMA PRA Category 1 Creditâ„¢</em> CME applications and apply for other types of credit as appropriate. Maintain all accreditation paperwork for each course, including meeting requirements set by the AMA, AAFP, and others as designated appropriate for each activity. Audit all accreditation activity files for completeness.</li> </ol> <p><strong>Position Requirements</strong>: The minimum qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and abilities needed to perform this job successfully. Master's degree preferred, medically related education preferred.</li> <li>Five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in the fields of quality improvement, continuing professional development, or continuing medical education; prefer experience with adult learning principles.</li> <li>Project management skills including managing multiple overlapping project timelines.</li> <li>Experience with activity planning, continuing education concepts, medical terminology, grant writing and reporting, budget and funds management, and program development.</li> <li>Knowledge of continuing medical education program accreditation desired.</li> <li>Highly proficient in the following software programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Ability to learn new software quickly and gain proficiency independently. Experience with databases and generating reports preferred.</li> <li>Knowledge in use of web software and basic knowledge of web technology and web design preferred, including ability to create course webpages using available software and ability to adapt that working knowledge to other systems as they are introduced into the enterprise.</li> <li>Ability to interact effectively with executive level and external contacts including physicians, administrators, and executives.</li> <li>Ability to interact compatibly with co-workers and take direction from multiple sources.</li> <li>Attendance during core business hours and occasional time beyond the standard business day, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.</li> <li>Must be effective within short deadlines and compressed schedules in an environment characterized by rapid change and high-level interpersonal communications.</li> <li>Frequent use of computer and exposure to normal physical office environment.</li> <li>Must be able to lift and carry meeting materials to events, including using personal vehicle as needed to transport materials.</li> <li>Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to interact effectively and build relationships with management, staff, members, and outside organizations required.</li> <li>Ability to travel in-state up to 10% and work a flexible schedule as needed.</li> </ol> <p> <strong>Additional Information:</strong> We offer a competitive starting salary DOE, plus an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, vacation, holiday, and sick pay, plus an Orca card for commuting. </p> <p> <strong>Interested Candidates:</strong> Email a cover letter highlighting relevant experience, resume, and salary expectations to <a href=""></a>.
