UW Disability Resources for Students

The University of Washington’s Disability Resources for Students (DRS) is dedicated to ensuring access and inclusion for all students with disabilities on the Seattle campus enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, professional, Evening Degree and Access programs. DRS serves students with either temporary or permanent physical, health, learning, sensory or psychological disabilities. Students partner with the DRS office to establish services for their access and inclusion on campus. For more information:

In addition, UW offers the Lions Gift of Sight Program, a collaborative project with UW Medicine Eye Institute in partnership with the University-Ballard Lions Club and the Northwest Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center (NWLERC) to provide eyeglasses to patients who qualify for financial assistance. This program utilizes donated eyeglasses, as well as newly purchased eyeglasses, to help patients in the Seattle area and beyond who are unable to fill their glasses prescriptions.
