The WSMA supports issuing a single license renewable every two year to physician assistants practicing only under the supervision/sponsorship of a MD or DO. (Res 7, A-92) (Reaffirmed A-17)

The WSMA supports the concept of administrative simplification of the physician assistant licensing process. (Res 7, A-92) (Reaffirmed A-17)

The WSMA supports changing the current physician assistant delegation agreement from the current Washington Medical Commission-based model to an employer/practice-based model. (Res B-5, A-18)

The WSMA believes that any physician electing not to participate in a delegation agreement shall not have negative repercussions from their employer. (Res B-5, A-18)

The WSMA supports maintaining the WSMA's existing and strong MD/DO-physician assistant relationship, dedicated to delivering safe effective, and timely patient care. (Res B-5, A-18) (Res C-20, A-19)
