Care Coverage
The WSMA supports the use of non-pharmacologic treatments when deemed
appropriate to treat and manage acute and chronic pain. (Res C-2, A-18)
The WSMA supports requiring coverage for diabetes prevention, lifestyle
modification programs, and community health workers in the state Medicaid
Accountable Communities of Health and other commercial and public
value-based payment systems. (Res C-18, A-18)
WSMA support appropriate compensation for health care providers who
utilize respiratory illness mitigation measures. This may include
supporting funding for the Departments of Health, hospitals, other health
care providers and schools to be used for patient education promoting such
measures. (C-1, A-21)
